BIOGRAPHY

I am a faculty at the Department of Communication, Central Connecticut State University and the assistant director of the Media Education Lab, University of Rhode Island. With eighteen years of experience in media literacy education, I combine my creative work as a media producer, passionate teaching experience, and advocacy for digital empathy everyday at CCSU.

I teach multimedia production in the TV Production sequence as part of the Media Studies major and miner. In my research, I explore the effect of media production on students and teachers. I have published in several peer reviewed academic journals and had book chapters on Digital Empathy. I also provide professional development in digital and media literacy for K-16. You can learn more on my award winning media production, research on digital empathy, and professional development opportunities on my website: www.DigitalEmpathy.net

Feel free to come and meet me in person at my office, Vance Academic Center 3rd floor room 3170800 or email me to schedule a meeting.
